BOOKS

Well these days I keep generally to factual or information type books, all centered around the subjects listed below as hobbies, but of the fiction have read, the following are my favourites; The Celestine Prophecy, The Lord of the Rings, The Chrysalids and every book I've read by Clive Cussler or John Grisham. Although by far the most powerful book i've ever read was 'Bury my Heart at Wounded Knee', the story of Europeans invading America and stealing it from the Native American tribes who lived there..so powerful that besides other parts of the book doing it, the last 45 minutes of reading had me balling my eyes out. One more book I would suggest anyone who feels 'Alien' to this Man's World should read, and that's 'Ishmael' by Daniel Craig..it's a real eye opener.

MOVIES

Wow..Long list of so many, but a shortlist would include Dances with Wolves, Lock, Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels, Sixth Sense, Fearless, K-Pax, Saving Private Ryan, Good Morning Vietnam, Philadelphia, The Last Samurai, The Abyss, A Time to Kill, Amistad, The Unforgiven and most of Clint Eastwood's films, Rain Man and Patch Adams, Phenomona, Powder and the list goes ever on..

HOBBIES

Listening to, and making Music. Writing Poetry; Making people laugh, so Socialising has to be in here. Racing & Strategy games; Spirtuality; Ancient History..and by Ancient I mean even older than me! Geology Rocks! Studying Nature, both Spritually and Logically. Theology, Psychology, but more through experience than books and learning about life in any way I can...This may be last here, but always first in everything I adore having in my Life are my two lovely Daughters, Kirsty and Victoria

TURN OFF'S

Rudeness and Lack of, or no Respect for Life. I detest WAR, especially one that's only for the lining of one persons pocket..or one that fought in the name of ANY Religion..Religion first and foremost, should be about PEACE!

TURN ON'S

Watching and listening to trees swaying in the Wind, or to the Rain falling; to Thunderstorms which light up the air around us; to Waves breaking on a beach, that's to name but a few..and especially to the Wonder in a Child's eyes when they too see these things we take for granted. True Love for anything!

Hi Gary,

Thank you for your warm Birthday wishes! It was a great day spent with my wife Mary. Christmas and New Years were also excellent dispite the pain from my shoulder surgery. But I'm healing well and fast! Hope your Christmas was filled with lots of Love and Frienship and that the New Year will bring all of us in this world a little closer to acting like brothers and sisters.
